Blessings and love to everyone,
Have any of you read, "Hope for the Flowers," by Trina Paulus? It is a miracle little book, that reaches deep within your true self and releases the butterfly within you. I would like to share a part of it with you...
*******
"Tell me, sir, what is a butterfly?" Yellow asked.
"It's what you are meant to become. It flies with beautiful wings and joins the earth to heaven. It drinks only nectar from the flowers and carries the seeds of love from one flower to another. Without butterflies, the world would soon have few flowers."
"It can't be true!" gasped Yellow. "How can I believe there's a butterfly inside you or me when all I see is a fuzzy worm? How does one become a butterfly?" she asked pensively.
"You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar."
"You mean to die?" asked Yellow, remembering the three who fell out of the sky.
"Yes and No," he answered. "What
looks like you will die but what's
really you will still live. Life is changed, not taken away. Isn't that different from those who die without ever becoming butterflies?"
.... "Once you are a butterfly, you can
really love - the kind of love that makes new life. It's better than all the hugging caterpillars do."

Today I went to the lake by myself to find within the peace I have been searching for all week. Deep within my heart I knew it always was there. As I lay resting my head, gazing up at the blue sky and puffs of clouds, I could feel the warmth and love of the sun embracing my whole being. I lay there still, listening to the wind blow through the trees and feeling it brush against my body. The cool waves lapped against the sand and the birds sang so sweetly. I was in complete bliss, feeling truly blessed by God and his miraculous creations.
As I lay there, I said a prayer of thanks to God. I felt so humbled and in awe. I prayed for guidance and for unconditional love. I breathed in light and love and breathed out worries and fears. I tried to love all that was around me... even the spiders and mosquitoes. I then nourished my body by imagining each part and saying, "You are beautiful, I love you." I felt completely transformed, confident, at peace, and ever so thankful.
I was even blessed to see a few beautiful butterflies flying by near the water. They were vibrant yellow. It was a sign from God.
I got in touch with my inner butterfly and set it free this afternoon. It is a gift to be able to lay down, palms open to the heavens and to God, and to feel the true inner peace that is within all of us. The love I felt within was now radiating without and I became one with all that is. The breeze does not just blow on its own... it blows over me, around me, within me as I breathe.
A caterpillar does not search. It never wants or desires. It just is. One day somehow they know what to do. As they enter their dark cocoons of uncertainty and hope, they transform into beautiful butterflies. What an amazing symbol of hope, love, and truth butterflies are. "Hope for the Flowers" is a tale, partly about life, partly about revolution and lots about hope, as Trina Paulus says. It helps you to see that we are all caterpillars and one day, everything will become clear and we will know just what to do. We will know our true selves and our wings will burst forth. We will trust in passing through the darkness because we can feel the warmth of the light already. We just need to have faith in God and embrace hope within and without.
What is your inner butterfly like? What does it take for you to become in touch with it?
I have a blessing of watching caterpillars turn into butterflies. I just received them today and have included some photographs. One day I will be able to set them free so that they continue to fulfill their miraculous purpose within the world... being exactly that which they are.
Remember, you are already a butterfly. Just open up your wings and fly.
Love and blessings,
Florence
