If you go to Luke Nakahara's page there are some neat pictures of Dr. Hawkins. Further down there is one of me with Cory Liu. Also on my page there is a picture taken at the Course Community House (ACIM) last August. The lady in the bright blue top is yours truly. *smile*
Hey Seth, how goes it brother?
So, someone forwarded your message to me, as we kinda ran into a similar situation not too long ago. Mike, John, and myself decided to sale it all, and move out to be closer to the Good Doctor and the community. I thought I'd just give you my two cents on it..
As far as Sedona and Flagstaff, it really just depends on what you're looking for. The age within the Hawkins community varies pretty, well, what you may call dramatically, but oddly enough, it's never really been an issue for myself. The entire time I've been here, I've only had one or two days in 8 months where it's even crossed my mind.
I've never really checked into the groups they have in Flagstaff, but here we have a Thursday night meeting relating specifically to Doc at the church, a Surrender group, random community events, ACIM meetings, the Stupa (calibrates at 640), and.. well, home of Dr Hawkins. So that's pretty awesome. Ha.
My personal experience is, I'm very glad we went with Sedona, as I couldn't imagine growing this much anywhere else. Anyways, yeah, if you need any other advice or suggestions, feel free to contact me anytime. (615)719-3132.
If you wanna just leave all the mind behind, though, you could always k-test, or have someone you trust do it for you.
Hey Seth,
Welcome, and thanks for connecting with me. Can't wait to meet you! You will be warmly welcomed into the arms of the local community, and the way it works here? Everything you need will magically appear. (I was just wondering today what to do with this extra kitchen stuff.)
Love and many blessings,
Julie
Was delighted to have made the acquaintance of that shining soul that is also known as your mom at the pot-luck in Sedona. *smile*
BTW: Glen Terry Gray is looking to meet fellow Hawkins students in his age group. He relocated to Sedona from TN last Fall. He had posted a comment on The Devotional Center page here, hoping to organize some sort of get-together for the other young people when they come into town for the lectures and satsangs.
Sorry I didn't notice you on line, was busy looking for a first-timer who had flown in from the East Coast. Umm....you must be pretty normal as neither of the "lazy bums" or the "woo-woo" guy were wearing long-sleeved red shirts. *wink* Where did you guys stay this last time and how long will you be in town for in April? There are a number of activities listed in an entry on my page under the blogs list, as well as on the: Travel to Lectures group page. There were over 500 people there, and I can imagine the lecture selling out....What do you think? BTW-you drove in didn't you? How long does it take from where you live?
Congratulations on the hand shake! Did you make it up on the stage? From where I was standing at the back of the line, all I could make out is whether the person was male or female, black or white! Not that I see all that well "close up." LOL Had I known you were going to be there I would have looked you up! Coming back in April?

Hey! Just killing time before bed. There is so much energy here that I don't know if I'll be able to get any real sleep. Maybe some Om Zone will do the trick. I have had such a blessed day and am ready for the Satsang tomorrow. I hope to see you and meet Stephane and Gretta. :)
