Love Lecture ~ Sept 17, 2011

Our love for each other is not different then our love for God~ Dr Hawkins

((He sang a song his dad taught him 80 yrs ago, when he was 4.….he said he asked his dad to sing it slower and then he was able to memorize it))

Someone else was reading the slides due to his very poor eye sight & he speaks on certain things or is prompted by Susan at times….Doc looks back towards the slides and says “There’s slides, huh?” (haha) J

“Because you become loving, you radiate that energy everywhere you go….the more loving you are…I use to love all my patients. I didn’t tell them that. One patient had a picture of me. And he said he would look at my picture and it made him feel better. I didn’t tell them I loved them it might make ’em nervous…hahaha.” Doc

The duck story~

“This guy hunted ducks. Normal everyday duck hunter. To me, an abomination to say the least…haha…he shot this duck…badly injured….his mate flew to the ground and put her wings over him……

What happened to the hunter?…..something changed in his heart…..he quit hunting.”

“Love has a transformative power. Once you become loving there are things you will never do again….you can do things you’d never do…..Love has a very transformative effect.”

“Not a good idea to tell everyone you love them, they might get scared….hahaha.”

Different forms of Love:

Differences between Love(500) and unconditional love (540)

“At 540-you love everyone and everything, even Adolf Hitler. You look at him as someone who was taken over by evil entities….Adolf did what he thought to do by honor…..we can love Adolf Hitler.”

The teachings of Jesus Christ was essentially to avoid negativity

Ego dynamics of Love

“Love is Permanent.

Love is to be with, not to posses.

Attachment is one thing, love is another.

Be kind to everything and everyone including oneself at all times

With no exceptions.

The heart knows, the mind thinks and argues

Listen to the heart

The mind is critical, disagrees, heart is loving no matter what. The heart puts

No conditions on what’s out there, the mind does

The Lecture begins......

"As you become loving, it's your way of being, so lovingness to me is a way of being. It is not an emotion. It is a way of being in the world. It's like how can i be of help to you, how can i comfort you, how can i loan you some money when you are broke, how can i help you find a job, how can i console you when you have suffered a major loss in your family. Lovingness is a way of being in the world and that way you Light up the world." Doc

"Forgiveness & Love is transformative. And we also have to forgive our self for our trespasses. I forgive myself for the errors i have made, Oh Lord, when i was less evolved. Amen." Doc

"So, to share your love with everything around you, all forms of life, kittens, doggies and other people and even villains, you still, it's up to you to make his life tolerable. Say I'm sorry i have to hold this gun up to your head but it's my job (ha) don't make me pull the trigger, thank you(ha)

Susan: Your always saying that lovingness is a way of being in the world. How do you apply that to our daily lives?

Doc: You just become. You become that and in all. Everything you do and say, everything, every movement is then energized by the lovingness which you own within yourself. Everything i say as i talk to this audience, i feel like a energy running out. I wanna share what i hold in my heart. As a knows experientially and hold it in my heart for all of them that they all should be feeling it. i pray for that inner experience of Divine Love for everyone here present now. God bless you in the name of the Lord, the Father, and His Holy ghost."

"We wore long ah ,stockings when i was a kid. long stockings in the winter time. And ah we wore long stockings and ah i went to school and that day i had diarria (ha) Well, i was one unholy mess. Long stockings & diarria. Somebody had to clean me up when i got home. That's Love. (ha) Because i remember being told ' Don't feel bad about it, you couldn't help it.' So, it wasn't now the cleaning me up, but the relief of my guilt that i had done such a terrible thing. Yes, so we bless others by our forgiveness. I realize that in a certain way, nobody can help being other than they are." Doc

About unconditional Love:  "...it has become what you are when you have become loving. Then you have no limitations or demands on people out there that they should be this way so that they can be loved. You love them no matter how they are. Whether they are obnoxious and you feel sorry for the criminal that they didn't know any other lifestyle. Ah, i always feel sorry that their life was so pathetic that this was all they had left, ya know? Run down the street and grab the lady's purse as they run down. I taught people how to handle a robber. Ya know, and what you do is ah, take your money, you take your money and throw it on this side of the sidewalk and then you run that way (ha) and they will go for the money and you are free (ha) Always give the robber your bill fold. That way you save your life." Doc

"The mind can be critical and disagree but the heart is loving no matter what. So, the heart does not put any conditions on what's out there. Only the mind does. The heart, i love you no matter if there's coffee in the morning or not. (ha) No conditions. Love makes no demands."

Susan: When you say pray to the Holy Spirit for a miracle. To see the Truth about a situation or a person. Are we to forgive that person if there was a conflict umm or just accept them for....

Doc: No. Because your still seeing them the same way or you wouldn't be forgiving them. Through the course in miracles for instance, the miraculous occurs but not as a consequence of how you're seeing it. Because you may still see it the same way, and yet it happens. So, when i ask for a miracle, i am surrendering my perception of how i see it. And then its transformed and when its  transformed, i see that it still is loveable. Yea, i see that someone i am angry at cannot help but be that way. So, instead of now hating them or being angry, i feel sorry for them and i say 'It's too bad they can't see it the way i'm seeing it' See because i know their life is painful the way they are seeing the world and when they see it my way, the world stops being painful.

"the goal of unconditional love is reachable by very simple means. Example:  To live with care and kindness, on a daily basis-Without Exception.

"Well, it is how we are viewing the world. Another words, when we place expectations on the world then we set our self up for disruption. You know, I have no expectations that they'll be coffee in the kitchen  in the morning or not. I have great hope (ha) It may or may not be there. Ya see. I have great hopes that when we get home today, that the doggie would not have had an accident in the living room. (ha) But if doggie had an accident I am prepared to forgive her. Unconditionally loving means no conditions. No conditions. Because it is a way that I am and not the way the world has to be. The doggie doesn't have to be the way i want her to be, i would prefer it, but she's only a doggie and if she has to go wawa, she's gonna go wawa. Hopefully, not before we get home. (ha)" Doc

"To have been in the presence of a great teacher, you will never be the same. The most beneficial thing that can happen to you is to have been in the presence of a great teacher. Because you pick up the vibration which cannot be taught via words or lectures but actually the field. I was hopeful that it could be transmitted otherwise but it is not so. You pick up the energy field of a Teacher by the physical presence withIN, the aura. And then it lasts a lifetime. So, the teachers i have encountered in my lifetime, I've already incorporated into my brain function, their energy." Doc

My Q: I have a question. I was wondering if you could explain to me, like I'm 3, surrendering? I don't know if I'm doing it right

A:Quit trying...can you quit trying? I'm not gonna surrender, I'm gonna fight, fight. No, I'm gonna surrender. Oop woop woop....haha. That means letting go of wanting to change something. And ah, it means acceptance. Acceptance. I accept the fact that I'm old and ugly and I can't help it...haha. I blame it on God.....

Me: Oh no! Haha!

Doc: If God wanted me to look like a fish and swim, I would be. If he wanted me to have wings and fly, I would be. He wants me to be old and somewhat falling over, that's what I am. So, I accept what is as how we're created. We're created that as the years go by we get older and older. And finally we get weaker. And then finally we just fall over. So we have to accept that that's the way it is. Acceptance means to let go of willfulness. Willfulness. And one can pray for Grace. I pray for the Grace, Thy Grace Oh Lord. By which I can Accept Thy Will, Amen. You have to get that God's not going to change the entire human race to please you....hahaha......

Me: Haha...Yeah

Doc: So you accept the common fate of being human. Al of us are mortal and human. And if God wanted it different, it would be different. When we go upstairs we are no longer mortal (he tests it on Susan's arm)...When we go upstairs, we are no longer mortal...that ends it...haha...

Me: That nice...haha....thank you very much

Doc: Now everybody contemplates this periodically in their life. What it will be like at the end. And what is God's Will in the matter. And it's part of the human condition to be uncertain about such matters. And to see a variety of teachings out there in the world about it. So, that is the common human experience that your having. Yes.

Me: Thank you

(my reflection).....

♥ I know i had felt like he had gotten  lost there as he continued to speak to me. But as time has gone by and remembering the many different people that came up to me at the lecture, thanking me for my question and so on, i now realize that he gave me exactly what i needed and then after i was taken care of, the Spirit moved and started talking to others out there in the crowd or those that couldn't make and would get the message another way...Love leading the Way ♥

I remember when i gently touched his shoulder after taking our picture together, it was something that was planned or mapped out, it just happened, automatically and naturally, like greeting an old dear friend. And when my hand touched his shoulder, he looks up at me and looks into my eyes. This seemed to have lasted for moments, kinda like the rest of the world is moving and going about their business and we were there but not there, if that makes any sense at all. It was so personal and almost frozen outside of time. When watching and waiting to experience this beautiful moment again when watching it on the dvd player, i had to rewind it again and again because the moment that was so intimate to me, was quite quick. Done and over with it before it began. Quite the opposite of what i remembered. How strange (^.^)
